    Hi Lawrence!
    -
I made some good progress on your ring this week! I have now cleaned up the casting, thinned the band out a good amount, re-ingraved the detail line on both sides of the ring, and have cut the seat for the center.
    -
Next I will finish setting the center by forming the delicate claw prongs and then I will set the emerald!
    -
It is coming together great and I am excited to finish it for you soon!

Sounds great Chris! Can’t wait to see it!

    Hi Lawrence-
The band is about 3.0 mm at the top and tapers down to about 2.0 mm at the base of the ring.
Your center stone has a width of 4.19 mm so it is over 1 mm wider than the widest part of the band.
But now knowing your preference for as thin of a band as possible, as I am finishing down the surfaces of the ring I can slim down the overall width of the ring and make the center stone stand out even more than it already does.
    -
I haven’t been able to focus on cleaning up your ring casting quite yet, because my current project has put me a little behind, but I hope to start on it as soon as I finish the ring right ahead of yours.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hey Chris Lawrence again, how’s everything going? Looking at the images again, its tough to see how thick the band is, I was hoping you could provide some insight. I really want the center stone to be the star and my girlfriend is really into dainty designs…so the thinner we could go would be better. It might already be perfect and tough for me to see from the picture.

Lawrence, that’s awesome, thank you for sharing that with me! It’s always nice to know how people find me. I’ll have to tell Josh thank you!

Your ring casting is finished and looks great. I should be able to start cleaning and setting next week.
