DESIGN
It starts with a simple conversation. Tell me your ideas and I'll turn them into a drawing. You will have a private design page where you can view and comment on the design. Request changes, explore different options, and get pricing quotes from me until the design is exactly what you want. This phase is absolutely free.

REFINE
Now your piece really starts to take shape. After a 50% deposit, I will build a CAD (computer-aided-design) model so you can see a photo-realistic rendering of your design. You'll get a good idea of what it will look like in real life, but since it is a virtual model you are free to make any changes. When you are 100% happy with the design, we'll move to the final phase.

The virtual model becomes a wax model and then a rough metal casting. Using time-honored techniques passed down from master jewelers, every millimeter of your piece is given a handcrafted, high-quality finish. What started as an idea is now a real, beautifully designed piece of jewelry.

The best answer I can give is that it varies. Each project is so specific that it is impossible to know the cost without figuring out the details. This is exactly why the design drawing and price quote are completely free - so you can be sure you're happy with both before you proceed. If you have a specific budget in mind, please let me know. Custom pieces typically start at $1,000.
How long does the custom process take?
Once you approve a design drawing, each piece typically takes 4-6 weeks to complete. Every step of the process deserves the utmost attention to detail and care for quality, and that takes time. If you have a specific date in mind, please let me know. Projects sometimes take longer during the busy Christmas season.
