RETURNS

Custom Pieces

Each custom piece is created uniquely for you and cannot be returned. But don’t worry, you will be asked to approve a drawing and then a computer rendering before the piece is ever created to make sure it is exactly what you want.

I stand behind the quality of every piece that comes from Chris Ritchie Creations and guarantee it will be free from any manufacturing defects at the time of delivery.

Shop Collections

I want you to be completely satisfied with your order, so if you’re not, please give me a call! Pieces from the Sewn Together Petite Collection can be returned for a full refund or exchange within 30 days of the shipping date. Just send it back in its original condition and original packaging. If your order was incorrect or defective, I’ll even pay the return shipping for you.

If you need to make a return, please call me at 806-576-7303 or email chris@crcjewelry.com for information about setting up a return shipment. Once I receive it, I’ll contact you and refund the value of the returned piece.

Sewn Together Monograms are considered to be custom pieces and cannot be returned.

SHIPPING

Every order ships free every time. For your protection, every shipment over $250 is fully insured and requires a signature upon delivery.

Shipping Methods:

  • USPS Priority Mail - 2-3 day delivery
  • FedEx 2 Day - 2 day delivery to most locations
  • FedEx Overnight - overnight delivery to most locations

Custom Pieces

Custom pieces typically take 4-6 weeks to produce, and ship once I receive your final payment. All custom pieces get a free upgrade to overnight shipping.

Shop Collections

In-stock items typically ship within 1-2 business days. Made to order items typically ship within 2 weeks. Orders over $250 get a free upgrade to 2-day shipping.

LIFETIME WARRANTY

I stand behind the quality of every piece that comes from Chris Ritchie Creations. Your purchase comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

If you discover a manufacturing defect, please contact Chris Ritchie Creations to arrange an insured shipment. If a warranty issue is found, I will repair your piece without charge.

This warranty excludes coverage for wear and tear, loss of gemstones due to wear and tear, product loss, or theft. Repair or service performed by another jeweler will void the warranty.

Some examples of common jewelry issues that would not be considered manufacturing defects include:

  • Discoloration caused by chemicals, make-up, pools, or bathing.
  • The wearing down of prongs caused by everyday wear or normal damage.
  • Prongs catching, wearing out, or bending over time due to everyday wear or normal damage.
  • The loss of a gemstone caused by damage from everyday wear or normal damage.

I recommend that you get independent insurance coverage for your jewelry to help cover damage, loss, or theft. You can get a quote from Jewelers Mutual Insurance, or you can ask your insurance company about adding your jewelry piece to your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance.

RING RESIZING

Chris Ritchie Creations offers one free ring resizing within 1 year of shipment, including free return shipping to you. Contact chris@crcjewelry.com to arrange a shipment.

STONE SETTING IN CUSTOM PIECES

Many of our customers provide us with their own stones for custom creations. Upon our receipt of the stone(s), the customer agrees to hold Chris Ritchie Creations harmless and accepts all risks associated with their stone(s) during the creation and stone setting process. While it is a rare occurrence, stones can chip or fracture during setting. To limit this risk, Chris has been trained by a Master Jeweler, and is certified under NASJ's Graduate Bench Jeweler program which teaches the most advanced methods of stone setting in the industry.

We reserve the right to turn down a customer's stone(s) if we feel it is unsafe to set or has a high risk of damage.

If you are sending us a stone, we will coordinate a fully insured overnight shipment, and we will always insure the stone against loss or theft while it is in our possession.

TAXES

Texas sales tax is automatically applied to your Chris Ritchie Creations order if your shipping address is in Texas. If your shipping address is outside Texas, you are responsible for any applicable taxes in your state.

If you are unsure of your ring size, contact us with your mailing address and we will send you a free set of ring sizers. Or, if you already have a ring that is sized to fit your desired finger, print out this ring sizer chart to determine your ring size.

How much does a car cost? There are so many variables that we cannot answer that question without knowing what you are looking for. Every creation is different. This is why we offer our design services free of charge so that we can determine what the project entails. Once we work out a design, we will quote you a price. At that point, you can decide if you would like to move forward with the project, or if we need to edit the design to fit into a different price range. The final price is based on the cost of materials and labor required to finish the piece.

For custom projects, we ask for a 50% deposit before we proceed to stage two - creating a CAD model of the piece. The remaining balance is due when the project is finished.

Once you have settled on a design and we have received your down payment, it typically takes 4-6 weeks to finish a custom piece.
